When we were dating we both expressed our desire to someday foster children and adopt. We both love children and have so much love to give. Our prayer is for every child to have a loving home and family, where they know they are valued, treasured, and loved no matter what.
Our Marriage:
We are best friends and just love being together no matter what we do. We never hold onto disagreements because I believe in talking things to death lol! - Renee. Honestly, communication is the age old saying, but it is definitely what keeps our marriage strong. Our recipe for a 15+ year marriage is God, over communication, ALWAYS talking respectfully (even if we argue) and spending time together having fun.
How we met:
Chris: Renee and I met briefly through a friend when we went to lunch at Chili's when Renee was working behind the bar. After lunch, I worked up the nerve to go in and ask her out, but as I walked in, she walked back into the kitchen before I could grab her attention, and the opportunity was lost. For a year I would see her out from time to time, and finally after a whole year I got the chance to talk and spend time with her during a mutual friend’s birthday celebrations. She just happened to be on a date with someone else.
Renee: I had no idea Chris had been seeing me around town, but I had met him through a mutual friend when he came into my work. About a year later I took a date to my friend's birthday party, and Chris was there. I was actually on the worst date of my life, the guy came to pick me up, then asked me to drive, he paid for our dinner with points and then let me pay the tip… The list goes on and there are a few crazy plot twists I’d love to tell you in person! However, I ended up talking to Chris the whole night instead of my date and when we left, Chris said he was going to take me on a real date. We’ve been together ever since.
